Master Tung Chen Wei and Master Tung Kai Ying

Tai Chi Lineage
Moonlight Tai Chi offers classes in the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan that has been taught worldwide by the Tung (pronounced "Dong") family. This traditional form has been practiced, largely unchanged, for hundreds of years, handed down from generation to generation (
lineage chart). We have the benefit of two living masters to learn from, that regularly visit New England to impart their knowledge first-hand.
Master Tung Kai Ying is a third generation master. He started learning Tai Chi Chuan in China (where he grew up), at the age of six. After intensive study with both his father, Great Master Tung Hu Ling, and his grandfather, Great Master Tung Ying Chieh, Master Tung Kai Ying began teaching and eventually moved to the United States where he established the
Kai Ying Tung Academy of T'ai Chi Ch'uan in Los Angeles, California.
Master Tung Chen Wei continues the tradition. Like his father, Master Tung Kai Ying, Master Tung Chen Wei studied both under his father and grandfather before turning to teaching others.
Both Master Tung Kai Ying and Master Tung Chen Wei travel internationally to offer workshops and camps to students. Nearby, they teach in the Bristol, Vermont and Ashland, New Hampshire areas; and Master Tung Chen Wei offers a camp on Sandy Island, Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, NH.
Farther afield, you can attend workshops or camps in California, France, Italy, or the Laplands of Finland in the Artic Circle, to name a few options.
No matter where you go, you will find the form is pure, and what you've learned in humble Vermont will enable you to join a camp in France without missing a step, regardless to whether or not you speak the local language.
